“When I started Nonesuch, it was all about gin. But I always wondered… what if we gave it a bit of time in a whisky barrel? So I did. Now there’s this: juniper, citrus, oak, a kiss of whisky notes. Only 123 bottles. I kept a few. The rest? They’re yours if you’re quick.”
If the USA put their foot on our throat to make us increase our defence spending (where is the money coming from?) I reckon we should only buy equipment from Europe and not support the US military industrial complex and their bought and paid for politicians. #auspol
Today’s forecast temp “feels like” -2 to 9 degrees ( “no thanks”).
So I’ve swapped the distillery for the home office and put the kettle on (or maybe something stronger). Working on next @NonesuchDist newsletter—full of warming specials and big news about our latest release.
Weather has turned damned cold and forecast temperature for Thursday is -2 to 9. Days like these are when I am glad the next generation is running the distillery and I am at home.

Better half to me “I wish I could find out who plays that doof-doof music at the same time every afternoon.” Sighing, I picked up the remote & muted the TV to silence the drum beat in the background of The Chase which she watches same time every arvo. 🙄

What an amazing release to finish the year. A wonderful example of the art of small cask maturation. This whisky is a celebration of Tasmanian distilling, and a must-have for the connoisseur #whisky#Tasmanian
@AdamBandt Have a good look at what happened with rental property supply and rents after the Hawke/Keating government removed negative gearing in the mid 1980s. It was a disaster for renters and you want to do it again.

Your guide to political doublespeak in #Tasmania. No.2 in a series. “An independent inquiry”. Definition: a desperate need to delay any action until public anger dies down. #politas@TasLiberal
What? Surely not! @jeremyrockliff remember this in The Mercury in Feb this year: Premier Jeremy Rockliff has pledged to prevent the closure of the iconic King Island Dairy. “That won’t happen. Not on my watch,” https://t.co/NiUibIG1uu #politas
