Why did lead MAGA investigator James Comer channel $200,000 to his brother? What is going on? Will he answer questions and turn over documents? https://t.co/wxWW55Diti
@seanmdav We’re not fighting another nation’s war and I am unaware of McConnell ever proposing to do so. Takes a lot to make McConnell look reasonable, but hey, you made it look easy in comparison.
@mmpadellan “Quiet part out loud” is the most tired trope I’ve seen lately. But it definitely is inaccurate and uninformed when the candidate is challenging you to be truthful about SS’s future prospects. Don’t you want people to be honest, even if you think they’re wrong?
@NikkiHaley Only other checkmark I’d like to see is balancing cuts between different parties’ priorities. Tired of politicians saying, “Well, we’d have a balanced budget if the other guys caved on all their priorities”. Modicum of realism, please.
@SeanTrende@brianros1 Is language like “except to protect patient’s life or health” typical across states’ abortion laws? Medical laws in general in Ohio? Genuinely curious. Wondering if this is ambiguity we normally don’t care about because the issue at hand isn’t as charged or polarized.
@BenjySarlin This is a popular thought process on Twitter, from Bernie to Manchin: Senators agreeing with my views should sincerely and strongly hold them; when they don’t agree with me, they should fold and support me anyways for purely crass, political team player reasons.
@NikkiHaley I had an audible sigh to reading this… why have a good or great debate and the just revert back to Vivek-style troll posts? Real, specific solutions, please. It’s not like you’re the one who just persuaded me to not support China’s policies…
@Schilling1776 Because just about all major candidates say they support “exceptions” and then call it “murder” or “killing babies” elsewhere. They support sending doctors to jail for 10 years. True, lots of R voters don’t support that, but they’re not giving the speeches on national or state TV
@FrankLuntz@GOP Not much stronger. Usually you seem to have the pulse of communication, Frank. That was a very articulate delivery of a vapid, superficial position on abortion. It’s better than fantastical, nutjob messaging, but that’s not saying much.
