@ajaykraina Seniority and parity of Rks matter only for state functions and not a day to day functioning. Our top bosses never objected this arrangement of IPS with 4 yrs of Service equated to 13+ yrs of Lt Col.

@ajaykraina Sir I believe it is us who have given IPS, IAS undue respect of seniority. A four years of service IPS putting Lt Col Rank calls Maj Saab of 12 years of Service by name rather calling Maj Saab should be given shut up call and rather being called by their name.
