People keep arguing against a point I never made.
I never said fanservice doesn't exist in the industry. My question is why some people seem to believe that genuine feelings between BL actors are impossible by default, when romantic relationships between male and female co-stars happen all the time.
Why is every display of affection between two men immediately dismissed as fanservice? Why is the assumption always that it's manufactured rather than genuine?
Maybe some of you should ask yourselves whether that's just skepticism, or whether it's rooted in homophobia.
