@KINGH0RN@Blackmagic_News I think because as you turn your head you need to be able to see more video that was recorded. You won't be seeing all 8k at once, I'm guessing it will be cropped based on your viewing angle.
@PatrickStirling@Alex4D I saw a rumor once somewhere Arri was working on a circular camera sensor. I think the idea would be you’d frame for the middle 1x1 aspect or so, then you could convert it to a 16x9 or 9x16 relatively easily depending on your needs in post. Kind of interesting.
@luca_treburg@9to5mac@filipeesposito They said the battery life wasn’t as good as the air or 16” pro. I have the 16” M1 Pro and the battery is pretty impressive, so I’m surprised the 14” isn’t as good.
@andrutay@Erdayastronaut@Teradek Take a look at https://t.co/Quh3hanqjf, they aren’t a traditional bonded or rtmp encoder. It runs on a little bit of a delay to guarantee it makes it to all your streaming platforms. Not sure if a delay is a deal breaker or not but worth at least considering
@Erdayastronaut@zephiK0@LiveU Are you using the YouTube backup server as well? I’ve never used a backup server but I wonder if a Teradek to the main and LiveU to a backup would solve issues like this?
@canonrumorsguy I believe the write protection switch doesn’t actually do anything inside the card to write protect it, it’s all in the reader. I’ve had switches break off and I’ve just taped over and they work again (kinda like VHS tapes). So my guess is it’s the reader.
@Alex4D@PoweredbyOWC I don't think MagSafe 3 has enough pins (looks like 5?) to be a true thunderbolt port (I think 24?), so probably power only. But maybe you could do it through the traditional thunderbolt ports since they charge as well. But then you'd lose MagSafe.
@SethAbramson I remember as a kid thinking Kirby was underrated because it was released so late in the NES lifespan. I think by the time it came out SNES was already pretty established. But I didn’t have a SNES, so 🤷🏻♂️
@aSciEnthusiast@johnkrausphotos qDSLRDashboard is what I have used in the past for this type of thing if anyone is looking for a solution. It used to be on iOS, but I guess they’ve had issues with Apple so it’s only on Android right now.
