Namjoon in his speech today
"Peruvians! You are truly the best.
I’m going to talk about the post I wrote yesterday, and I’ll speak in Korean.
The post I wrote yesterday wasn’t just about America or Peru.Similar things have happened in Europe and the United States, and they’ve actually been happening for a long time. They can happen in Asia, too.
I know very well that many of you try not to approach us, and even when you see us on the street, you pretend not to recognize us.
But using drones or pointing lasers at us is actually not okay.
In Europe, he (Taehyung) was the one who said it, but here, I’ll say it myself.
When have we ever divided people based on their nationality or continent?
Under the term ARMY, and under the term BTS, we are all the same people.
I’d like you to ignore those who say strange things and for us to keep this love alive.
Some people will only hear what they want to hear and see what they want to see.
But I will continue to believe that there are so many more amazing and lovely ARMYs out there. And that goes for Peru, too!
No matter how I speak about this, I know some people will only hear what they want to hear.
Even so, I know there are so many wonderful and very, very beautiful ARMYs out there.
Thank you so much "

"Fuera acosadoras", "Perdón BTS", "Sorry" y "Army no acosa" fue lo que dijeron hoy las Armys peruanas antes de que BTS de inicio al concierto. Que quede bien claro que todas estamos en contra con lo que pasó ayer.
This situation is so unfortunate 😔 as a peruvian myself & as bad as the situation was, I would like to clarify some things because there is SO much being lost in translation and taking out of context. This is the first and last time I will comment on this topic, it's too sad 🧵
I don’t think people realize that we just want the boys safe. It doesn’t matter where this happens in the world. America, Europe, Canada, Asia…all we care about are the boys safety. It’s not racist, it’s basic human decency & respect. It’s concern. It’s worry.
We want them safe
Ya'll how dangerous is it to drive 12 hours at 4am after absolutely zero sleep? Cause I'm about to do that because of my stupid insomnia 😭
The things I do for love...
Thank FUCK now let's get those paparazzi the fuck outta there too cause journalistic integrity doesn't extend to camping outside and stalking guests of a hotel
Even if the people doing this aren't exhibiting real ARMY behavior, they still call themselves ARMY. They believe they are part of our fandom, and they don't see anything wrong with what they're doing because their content gets shared and hyped on here—including by big accts.
We have cosplayers in our fandom. Cosplayers who fly under the radar and are accepted as part of this fandom, which means we need to address this on ARMYtwt. We have people who wear our name and take part in representing us but don't adhere to our fandom values, and it's a problem.
We can not let this behavior be the 'norm' in our fandom.
It absolutely needs to be called out.
