Living abroad doesn't mean you shouldn't talk about the insecurity in Nigeria.
This is because, at least one will have family members that are still in Nigeria.

We don’t choose where we’re born, the color we come in, or the faith we’re raised in. These things arrive with our first breath, long before we learn the meaning of choice.

Therefore, no one should be judged or dismissed for things they never had control over. What should, however, matter are our actions, our character, and the paths we carve with our own hands.

Everyone deserves at least a fair chance to show who they are as a person. Maybe if we remember this, we’ll build a world where people are seen first as human, before anything else and by so doing let one another breathe a little easier.

Many people are saying: “Sebi you dey abroad… why you dey complain about the situation in Nigeria?”

Listen:
- The fact that I’m abroad doesn’t make me less of a Nigerian.
- The fact that I’m abroad doesn’t mean the hardship isn’t affecting me, directly or indirectly.
- The fact that I’m abroad doesn’t mean Nigeria ceases to be my home.
- The fact that I’m abroad doesn’t mean the future of our unborn generations should remain like this.
- The fact that I’m abroad doesn’t exempt me from the pain of knowing my family and friends can be kidnapped at any time.
- The fact that I’m abroad doesn’t mean I should be selfish and stop caring about my country.
- I can go on and on…

There’s no reason why every Nigerian in the diaspora should remain quiet. We can’t take all our families abroad. We can’t relocate every Nigerian out of the country. Is it until they kidnap your own family before you understand what’s happening?

The so what is this: We must all get that anger inside us and be ready. A willing mind is already close to success. We need to start demanding accountability aggressively.

Our government owes us basic things — safety, a reliable power supply, good roads, potable water, and quality healthcare. These are not luxuries.

It’s clear that this current administration has failed, and recycling the same people or their clones in other parties will never fix this. We’ve seen the pattern. We must not allow it to continue!

We need a new Nigeria!

Nigeria must be better — and it must be better in our lifetime.
