Yes frustrating. But let me share my experience: I was once invited to a conference and under the invite I saw emails saying that we also need to find female researchers, which is also annoying and causes a loss of self-confidence. Still wonder why I was invited to that 😅1/2

we've gotten so used to it that sometimes it makes me think if women are invited just to appear in photos/lists. The best is to invite those who are good at their job, but in this case, women's duties outside of research are not comparable to men's. Hard to get out of it 2/2
