the CS market is not cooked, you are. it is extremely easy to get an internship/job if you just ask.

i gave a talk w my bf ytd to some undergrads, a lot of ppl asked for my contact info which i happily gave and only one person has sent me a CV thus far.

i have gotten him 5 first round interviews at pretty good places. be courageous, the world will reward you as such. have more agency.

people gave me a shot when i started out and was far worse. I didn’t have anything so i will never pull the ladder up behind me.

Update: I met the smartest guy I have literally ever come across from one of these DMs and apparently no one has ever told he’s smart.

what does Asian society do to you?! it is very sad to me.

I can attest he is a literal genius even without all the positive signaling he had zero followers on twitter.

he DMed this morning and I am travelling in the same city he goes to school in with my bf so I invited him to coffee in the evening.

bruh he was willing to work anywhere and gets paid less than min wage. I don’t feel like he deserves to work at a YC startup or write RL envs he has so much more to contribute to society my bf and I will figure out getting him an interview at Anthropic or OpenAI or you know somewhere equally cool.

I am confident I can get him a job but would like for him to work somewhere cool asf. pls lmk if ur willing to help lol. anywhere would be lucky to have him.

i hope we can offer people more life changing opportunities like this.
