@LailaGoodridge The absolute total lack of awareness and hypocrisy from a CPC member is hilarious. Your party along with your provincial counterparts, like the #UCP have made life increasingly expensive under the guise of deregulation and the like.
@TheBreakdownAB @68whitewolf Also, I can almost guarantee you 90%+ employers in this province wouldn’t cover COVID isolation costs. I mean we don’t even have the legislated requirement of providing unpaid sick days, let alone paid ones.
High school senior @zandermoricz speaks to @yasminv about the harms of Florida's 'Dont Say Gay' law.
"LGBTQ students are going to be raised on the idea that them and their families are broken and wrong [and] this makes for an incredibly dangerous environment."
Conor is 6. He has type one diabetes. He was able to access an insulin pump through the Insulin Pump Therapy Program.
The UCP have cut this program. Imagine having the audacity to brag about the economy as countless Albertans like Conor suffer.

@markusoff I don’t see that’s what the NDP is saying at all. The guy makes $180k off taxpayers while us non-government workers are lucky to get unpaid sick days at all, let alone an employer pay almost $1500 in isolation costs. The UCP could legislate companies to provide paid sick leave.🤷🏻♂️
@DesjarlaisBlake @kevinlovestech Thank you! I’ve been asking our provincial representative for YEARS why we continue to subsidize oil companies while they pay little to no taxes and have done nothing to clean up orphaned wells. ZERO tax dollars should go to any of these oil companies.
Happy Friday. Here's a brief recap of some new publications, preprints, and reports related to COVID-19 that have come out recently (most in the last week or so). 🧵
#Ableg News 🧵
This was the WORST bad news week for the @UCPCaucus in 2022:
🤬- The UCP suddenly defund critical diabetic care (Story #1)
🤫 - Jason Nixon secretly removes park protections (#2)
🤐- Kenney’s silent on Women’s Rights (#7)
Here’s 22 (YUP!) Bad News UCP Stories!
Abortion is health care.
Abortion is health care.
Abortion is health care.
Without safe access to abortion, pregnant people will die. You cannot ban access to abortion, just access to safe abortion.
So much for that Freedom thing they keep talking about. Freedom of speech for the #CPC caucus is restricted to the freedom to speak out against the Prime Minister. Xi in China operates the same way. You have the freedom in China to speak out against liberal democracies.
Lethbridge has over 100,000 people. Anyone wanting an abortion has to drive 2–3 hours to Calgary.
Sure it’s decriminalized. Sure it’s free. Sure it’s primary care.
But does that matter if you can’t get there?
Actually I think Canadians would be very interested in knowing what individuals Conservative MPs and Senators have to say on the topic of abortion rights.
#Rights I remember very well why I stopped voting Conservative in federal elections 7 yrs ago. I began to feel that they saw human rights as a nuisance, rather than an essential ingredient of modern Canadian democracy. So the true blue Conservatives started calling me a Red Tory.
