Participated in the NDTV Indo-Japan Strategic Dialogue at New Delhi as a panelist in the session, "The 500K Talent Pipeline - Deepening People-to-People Ties," alongside Prof. Sarbani Roy Choudhury of JNU and Smti Nupur Tewari of Japan-India Connect, Tokyo.
The discussion focused on strengthening the India - Japan partnership through skilled workforce mobility, institutional collaboration, language preparedness and people-to-people exchanges.
Highlighted the Northeast's strategic importance under the Act East Policy and Assam's growing role in building a globally skilled workforce. Also shared the State's ongoing initiatives in Japanese language training, teacher development and creation of structured overseas placement pathways to connect Assam's youth with global employment opportunities.
The discussion reaffirmed the role of stronger people-to-people ties in advancing economic cooperation and the long-term strategic partnership between India and Japan.

During the Industry Meet held today nearly 100 leading organizations from across the country participated. As a significant outcome, five Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed by the department with prominent organizations—Scientech, Festo Controls Pvt. Ltd, Honda CSR, ABB Pvt Ltd. and Janatics to boost employment opportunities through technical training and skill development.
Additionally, one-on-one discussions were held with other companies to explore potential collaborations aimed at modernizing and strengthening the skill education sector in the state.
This meet marks a significant step towards establishing Assam as a hub for skill development and economic growth.
