Full backs and wingers not combining well, centre back partners being disjointed, Wing and Savage not working as well as it could, Doyle and Marriott not linking up at all. Coaches don’t know what to do about it

- Relying on Ahmed and Jacob for width and quality out wide (??)
- Going man for man upfront with a huge gap in midfield meaning more long balls (??)

@hf36___ Goal against Wycombe was prime example of him being up closer to the front of play. As much as he loves a long pass, he’s been forced into it so many times instead of progressing it with short balls and combinations. Get bodies closer to him, link up with Doyle/Elliott

For me personally, it’s pretty clear this is our strongest lineup and system to go with.

• Doyle in the 10, suits being closer to Marriott and pressing with him, links midfield to attack
• Ritchie helps Ahmed out massively
• Fraser over Savage in his best role

@hf36___ As much as it’s great he progresses from deep, you also want us to sustain pressure around the box with him on the ball. He can pick the pass or cross out with bodies in the box. This season he’s not been near the box enough as he’s playing longer passes to bodies far away.

@hf36___ A double pivot would be much more of an out of possession thing + As much as Wing can dictate play with all the space he has, what has really come of it this season? The spacing between him and the front 3 has been too big. Give him some solidity, allow him to take risks forward
