Excellent early image of Rice's Hotel/Hughlett's Tavern, ca. 1795, Heathsville, Virginia. This tavern is one of the oldest surviving wood structures in Virginia's Northern Neck. The original three-room tavern was built by John Hughlett & additions were added in the 1830s & 1920s.
