The BOH is pushing for a meeting after already requesting the provincial & federal gov't take over the MWP quarantine last year. Some were always supportive but it seems like there is more municipal support now.
"..therefore be it resolved that the County engage a third party investigator to review and ensure all county policies have been adhered to and that the planning and road closure matters be deferred."
It seemed to just be a matter of council handling the situation transparently.
I'm not sure why investigating a "potential conflict of interest" declared by the CAO himself warrants an apology. The county solicitor was present to give council advice in closed session and they came out of closed session to pass the following motion:

This creates a pause that can allow re-engagement of the province and the county. One reason the property was declared surplus was interest expressed by Norfolk, going back 13 years ago, to purchase it.
While we agree it's important to build a recovery strategy for #tourism after the #pandemic, I must echo the following comment from Adam Veri:
