Meet Waad Ramadan Alwan and Mohanad Shareef Hammadi two Iraqi “refugees” resettled in Bowling Green, Kentucky, who abused America’s generosity to plot terror while living off taxpayer-funded welfare.

Alwan, whose fingerprints were on an unexploded IED that targeted U.S. troops in Iraq, admitted to planting and detonating IEDs against American soldiers from 2003-2006, including drawing diagrams and teaching others how to build them. Hammadi confessed to 10-11 IED attacks and shooting at U.S. soldiers. Both lied on their refugee applications to evade vetting, then conspired from Kentucky to ship Stinger missiles, sniper rifles, RPGs, machine guns, explosives, and cash to al-Qaida in Iraq to kill more Americans… all while on HHS/ORR refugee assistance like groceries, cash, and housing. They got caught in an FBI sting, loading “weapons” into containers headed for terrorists.

The Massive Fraud Case unfolding in Kentucky is wild and deeply disturbing starting with a cattle fraud scheme that defrauded investors and a major lender out of $100 million through “ghost cattle”.

This began as a classic Ponzi involving a Kentucky cattleman who built up paper inventories of tens of thousands of cattle that mostly didn’t exist, leading to bankruptcy filings and lawsuits against banks for allegedly enabling it. But investigations have allegedly uncovered far darker layers.
Arrests in the area included Roberto Alderee and his brother Luis, with Luis reportedly caught attempting to purchase grenade launchers and rifles; Luis is described as a lieutenant to “Elno”, pointing to possible ties to Mexican drug cartels using local operations for laundering or other activities.
Victims faced intimidation, including warnings they’d “end up in that stack”, and investigators themselves have reportedly been shot at, escalating this beyond financial fraud into something much more dangerous.

What started small has ballooned into a suspected money laundering operation valued from $2 billion to $4.5 billion, with some estimates hitting $10 billion when including intra-transfers, and investigators claim detailed payment sheets tracking every penny of the $4.5 billion.

Shocking reports link the probe to human trafficking, including a tip leading to the discovery of a 13-year-old German-speaking girl found in a ditch near a property where a man was allegedly tortured for his Bitcoin password blending crypto extortion with potential trafficking horrors.

The case hints at deep local corruption, including connections to hemp fraud schemes and individuals with political influence; significant campaign contributions from linked figures may explain delayed or absent investigations, and notably, the former Kentucky attorney general was reportedly seen interacting with one such individual.

A related business registered in Dubai features a website packed with stock images, screaming red flags for legitimacy and possible shell company use in the scheme.
This isn’t just fraud it’s a potential nexus of cartel money laundering, violence, trafficking, and corruption right in rural Kentucky. How deep does this rabbit hole go?

Since moving to the @HCACDIII , our dates and times are set by the conference office. That’s led to a few more overlaps over the year, but the goal remains the same: give Lexington basketball fans every chance to enjoy both programs.
