FINRA has its own podcast. Conveniently, Sam Draddy keeps explaining exactly why #MMTLP deserves an answer.

Four days before the MMTLP halt, December 5, 2022, Draddy told the SEC that his FINRA fraud team had MMTLP on its radar and was “bluesheeting… MMTLP as we speak.”

FINRA later stressed in its MMTLP FAQ that blue sheets alone cannot produce a complete share count or determine whether a short sale was naked.

Fair enough.

But then listen to Draddy on FINRA’s own podcast, FINRA Unscripted.

2024: Draddy said CAT gives investigators the “full lifecycle of an order,” operates near real time, and significantly improves FINRA’s ability to detect suspicious trading.

2026: he went further:

“Data provides the foundational DNA for uncovering suspicious, fraudulent, and manipulative trading” and helps FINRA “identify the bad actors behind the trading.”

So FINRA was already collecting MMTLP trading data before the halt.

Its own surveillance chief now tells us how powerful that data is.

Great. Then what did you find?

After nearly four years, FINRA has produced FAQs and estimates.

Where are the findings from the investigation Sam Draddy said was already underway?

Maybe FINRA Unscripted should do an MMTLP episode.

The Supreme Court may have opened a new path for #MMTLP investors seeking accountability.

In Galette, SCOTUS rejected immunity for a legally separate public corporation. .@FINRA is even further removed from government: a private corporation, not created by Congress, yet courts have often given it government-style immunity.

That matters because FINRA’s U3 halt left MMTLP investors unable to trade while the promised resolution never arrived. If FINRA cannot continue claiming “private when convenient, immune when sued,” investors may gain a stronger path to discovery, damages, and real judicial review.

Not a final ruling on FINRA yet, but a meaningful crack in the wall.
