Project Rubicon enables the non-custodial liquid staking of Bittensor's subnet alpha tokens, transforming them into ERC-20 compatible liquid staked assets (xAlpha).

By integrating Chainlink CCIP as the canonical bridging solution, Bittensor's subnet alpha tokens can be securely bridged to Base and become utilized in DeFi protocols such as @aeroxyz.

With this integration, CCIP is now live on Bittensor EVM for any builders to enter into the Bittensor ecosystem and begin building robust cross-chain applications.

Today’s announcement of Project Rubicon by @gtaoventures has the whole Bittensor community excited. Rubicon is a protocol that lets subnet alpha tokens move directly onto the Base L2 blockchain.

The initial launch cohort includes 17 subnets, each seeded with roughly $300,000 in liquidity across their alpha token/USDC pairs.

This infrastructure unlocks several important benefits:

1. Reward generation for subnet owners and liquid stakers via LP fees
2. Immediate liquidity for subnet owners without selling their underlying subnet assets
3. Greater accessibility for new participants and the broader market

For everyone who has been asking how to acquire a subnet token, I can finally answer in a short and simple way. Simply go to @aeroxyz and swap your USDC for the ERC-20–compatible liquid staked assets (xAlpha). That’s it.

In other words, have USDC on Base and swap that USDC for the respective SN token.

This is a massive step forward for Bittensor, expanding both liquidity and accessibility across the network.
