Cracking twitch with @paolobolton yesterday to finally connect with the Western Reef Heron. Spending the morning in the estuary we noted the Pacific Swift report and took a punt and spent the rest of the day on the Great Orme. No swifts but Coughs were a great compensation.

Cracking 1st day of the @HNHSOC Local Patch Big Weekend 2026.

Opted for ‘by foot from home’ so a big number was unlikely. But very rewarding finding a Reed Warbler giving its best in the Sandon Manor rewilding area nr Blagrove Common. Marsh Tits also, Friars Wood. #hertsbirds

Finally connected with the Dartford at Tewin after a few unsuccessful attempts. Fairly mobile but seen between 1500 to 1600hrs.
