What they are doing may look unusual but they are carrying out a bird study by catching Gulls as well as species for the purpose of ringing. The bird aren’t harmed during the process and released within a few minutes.
A Goldcrest 'tagged' (fitted with a miniature ultra lightweight nanotag) on the Frisian Island of Vlieland off the Dutch coast on 20th Oct was detected by the Spurn Bird Obs Motus Tower the next day, with a sequence of 4 signals between 05:30 to 05:34.⬇️
