This is hilarious! It reminds me of the Late Dr. Emmanuel Ijewere in 2004. We were trying to buy a company selling telco airtime where he was Chairman and the numbers didn’t look good. He liked me for some reason (maybe because we always met in church at Falomo) and decided to discourage us from buying.
After some talking, he told us to forget the business and took us to the back of his house in Ikoyi. He got a bowl, dipped his hand and threw some food into the concrete ponds they created behind and fish came swarming up to eat.
He said - “This is 4 million Naira from my backyard each harvest. This is how I pay for the school fees of my kids. This is the business you should be into.”
I once again remembered what Chief Ibru told me. “Go and sell fish, everyone eats fish.” Dr. Ijewere later expanded his pond into a large and profitable farm that still exists today in the Lagos/Epe axis.
Very few people in Nigeria tell you the true source of their wealth. Even those her friends selling wine would have their own secrets they hide from her.
Massive lockdown is coming because of Hantavirus .
We will experience the kind of lockdown we experienced during C0ronav!rus.
This one is worldwide lockdown
Omo 🙂🙂
Regarding the viral video of Group CEO of Moniepoint @Eniolorunda , I totally agree with him. The company I work for is facing this same issue, the CVs are over bloated. It's high time the govt change the goal of NYSC, to make grads develop employable skills or business acumen.
Corporate Greed vs Everyday workers: Life of a contract staff in Nigeria
My father worked at Zenith Manufacturing Ltd in Apapa for 28 years. Never missed a day. Won Best Staff twice at their annual dinner.
Last Monday, the HR manager called him on WhatsApp. 4 minutes. That was it. Retired early. No severance. Nothing.
The same month, the MD flew to Dubai for the company’s “executive retreat.”
Dubai.
My father left Ikorodu at 5am every morning to beat third mainland bridge traffic. Every single day for 28 years. He turned down a government job in 2009 because he believed in that company.
They let go of 280 staff that week. 280 families.
The disengagement letter came via email. They spelled his surname wrong. After 28 years, they couldn’t spell ADEYEMI correctly.
He sat in the parlour that evening and just stared at the wall. My mother kept bringing him tea he never touched. We didn’t know what to say.
He’s 56. No pension processed. NSITF contributions? Unaccounted for. NHF? Nobody is picking up.
This is happening in companies all over Lagos, Abuja, PH. Everyday Nigerians sacrificing everything while oga at the top is chilling.

@Ruth77745 You forgot to add that the lady brought a counter motion, how would she be compensated for all the pkekus the guy chop for free throughout the sponsorship.
“They Withdrew 444k from my account, Stole Other Important Items from my Car”- Port Harcourt Resident Harassed by Nigerian Police Narrates Horrific Experience.
“I never want to make this post here cos I don’t want my mom to see it and start thinking, worrying or crying
Few weeks ago I felt the prompt to make a post about the Nigerian police officers on the road harassing drivers especially when they see you’re a young boy boom they would label you yahoo boy and start demanding money but I waved it off and didn’t post
Just yesterday early morning I drove off my estate to get fuel for both my car and that of my Gen cos heat was much after getting the fuel by 12 :30 AM cos there lots of filling stations that sells 247 then I was driving back home I saw this check point at a junction close to my house although I didn’t see them when I drove off to buy fuel oh they ask me to stop I did and they asked for papers I showed them they ask for other things I gave them now about to leave they said I should come down that my car is stolen car then one of the officers slapped me twice cos I as trying to explain

If you use a Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta, Ford Escape, or Ford Fusion, have you found yourself in a situation where only the driver's door opens?
If yes, let me teach you something.
If all your car doors won't open except for the driver seat, simultaneously press the LOCK and UNLOCK icons on your key fob together for 4 seconds.
Then press the UNLOCK button.
@Walrajofficial@Tess_ogar My parent gave me room to make decisions, its part of growing up and learning. You can't have a financial manager with years of experience in multiple companies and think you know better than them because your are the MD. When your decision goes wrong, you shift the blame.
"Landlords and residents of Unity Estate, Eneka, Rivers State, have accused the Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, Chijioke Ihunwo, of being involved in the alleged unlawful demolition of their properties."
These are the online ones that can be gotten from a simple google search.
Oga Ihunwo, tell us why your boys went to NDDC road, Eneka to start demolishing peoples legally acquired properties, while demanding for 500k from them?
Tell us what transpired between your boys and the pregnant woman whose house was being demolished while she was inside the house. Also tell us why they collected 400k from her afterwards.
I have been screaming “Omo!!” in disbelief!
Nigeria has left me in total shock!
WITHOUT LEAVING MY HOUSE, PASSPORT WAS PRODUCED IN TWO DAYS AND DELIVERED TO MY DOOR! 😱
Here’s the gist. I randomly realized that the Nigerian passport of someone VERY CLOSE to me was expiring in a few months time and we needed to get it renewed ASAP. So I took on the responsibility to get it done.
I started contacting a few folks to see if they had any “connect” at the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC or the Consulate in Atlanta, GA, because I’ve always dreaded the thoughts of renewing a Nigerian passport due to many gory stories I’ve heard about the process.🥶
Anyways, I got a few advice on what to do/some connects as well. But what stood out to me? A couple of folks said they renewed their passports without leaving their houses and got it done and sent to them in 1-3 months. Ehn!! Of course I’ve read some good stories online but as with our dear Nigeria - “seeing is believing.”😏
After much agitation, fear and doubt, we decided to use the contactless renewal system.
We filled the application online, took the biometrics with our phone, uploaded a passport photograph and boom!
Payment time! I was like “God Abeg o - I no get time to go fight with anybody for that office o” 😣🤣
We paid $230 for booklet fee and $100 for contactless fee (PS: there’s a $50 money order to be paid too). We sent the old passport to the Nigerian Consulate in Atlanta, Georgia and USPS showed that it arrived there 3 days later.
After some days, I went to check the tracking number, it was still processing but no sign of the new booklet being shipped to me yet.
Yesterday! I checked the application online portal, to my surprise, it was on the last step. I saw:
“✅ Passport Produced, Ready for Collection” and last step
“✅Passport Issued/Collected”…
I didn’t believe it and I told myself it must be an error because that was way too quick 😂
was like ahh! Let me check the USPS Mail Tracking code first … Lo and behold! It showed that the Passport will be delivered to my house that same day by evening.
I first shouted “What!!” “How”! I was in disbelief because it was too fast and too hassle-free to be true! Something that you’d need to pay bri^e and wait almost for eternity to get? And now, it’s showing I will get it so quickly without leaving my house or paying anyone?
Wait for the biggest shocker! Being curious, I checked the tracking history, and I saw that the passport was produced in only 2 DAYS after my shipped file of money order and old passport arrived the Atlanta Consulate and on the third day it was given to USPS to send to my house. And USPS delivered the old and new passports to my house safely, as seen in the photo.
So, I know we’re quick to criticize Government but this is me giving you your flowers, Honourable minister, @BTOofficial and the @nigimmigration.
I hope that other public services will be as efficient as this and that bad eggs won’t spoil this good work.
Nigeria must be great! 🇳🇬
