@twatterjailbird@ReubenJones1 EXCEPT that it is only being “seen,” with no info given for “understanding.” Using that flag without ANY historical context shows the side of the issue a person has landed on. Do you think Swastika tattoos are gotten to make a statement of the dangers of Nazi-ism? Get real.
@ReubenJones1 A pro-secessionist flag used to showcase NC? It appears no other confederate state was stupid enough to use this type of racist dog whistle. It should only EVER be displayed along with the full history of what it represented, otherwise it is just the signal of proud racists.
@DueyCheatemNHow@ChrisMurphyCT I am sure there were a lot of people who were only in the wrong place at the wrong time and weren’t involved in the damage and destruction that others were, so no jail time.
@DueyCheatemNHow@ChrisMurphyCT He never said he wanted it to apply to past crimes. He just asked that Moreno acknowledge the hypocrisy of Trump pardoning the J6ers. Yes, Trump had the right to do so, but letting them off is inconsistent with saying you care about law enforcement.
@ChrisMurphyCT Could you please tell me where I can find the verbiage on this proposal? What acts would apply? Would it only be “physical” harm or could it also include intimidation, interference, etc? Mandatory 20 years for cursing (intimidation) or leading an “opposition” protest?!
@ChrisMurphyCT Correct me if I’m wrong, but this is named the Larry Henderson act after an Ohio Deputy Sheriff, but everything I heard the guy say was about if applying to FEDERAL officers (ICE, FBI, Marshall’s, etc) so I don’t think this bill would apply to him or many other police officers.
A new Republican Senator tried to pass a law last night that would increase minimum sentences for assaults against police officers, except for assaults on police officers on January 6.
I went to floor to object and tell him how dangerous that is. Here's part of the exchange.
@ChrisMurphyCT It sounds like this proposal is to pave way for ICE officers who might get “hurt” (not just killed)while carrying out no due process raids the ability to place someone who “hurts”them (maybe just a bruise)will automatically face a minimum of twenty years in prison. Chilling.
@owillis You know...
I recognize this as a joke, but let's see how long it takes before some GOP nudnik tells this to someone as if it is the truth because they "read/heard it in the news" and it grows legs.
@PaulLahticks Mind boggling that you think the DOJ legally recovering stolen documents is what you need to be so concerned about.
GOP shits their pants over Hillary's emails, none of which were classified, but wants to give Trump a pass on everything. Your hypocrisy really knows no bounds.
@NickAdamsinUSA It's also important to give the spotlight to morally upstanding presidents. You might not like Biden but his morals aren't in question, unlike the previous dufus.
@DeanKesaris They sent a sham set of electors so that Pence could approve them and declare Trump the winner at that time. They were not just trying to use Pence to delay until more counting could happen—they had already recounted the states that might have made a difference.
@Mike_Hixenbaugh Also, why does Patriot Mobile get to be the ONLY donee used? Just because because they were the first? Seems like a sweetheart deal for Patriot Mobile and the lawmaker who got a bit of free publicity over the donated posters, but no one else is able.
@Mike_Hixenbaugh So are there already Patriot Mobile posters conspicuously displayed in EVERY single building in every school, including any mobile units, refreshment stands at the athletic field,etc as stated in the first sentence? I am sure there must be room to use some from the other donees.
