@hagiosgeorglus Reminded of the Greek island Χάλκη, which in English can be
Chalce /kælsi/
Khalke /kælki/ or perhaps /kɑlki/
Halki /hɑlki/ or /hælki/
or apparently Chalki /kɑlki/ or /kælki/
Somewhat fascinated by Citrus County, Florida, since it appears to be made up entirely of suburban sprawl, despite not being located near any major city and not being part of a larger metro area—In fact, it is its own metro area, even though it doesn't contain any actual city.
@NaughtyChris9 It's scenic. Lots of charming historic towns. Atlanta is cool. I'm actually in a town out beyond the Atlanta suburbs, which is okay, but I wish I was closer in to Atlanta.
@guyatthediner I was just contemplating the process whereby families come to forget each other. I feel like the cleavage happens with the great-grandparents' siblings, unless there's a special reason for their descendants to stay in contact.

Just found out that my father's paternal grandmother (b. 1903) had half-siblings born in the 1880s. One half-nephew died aged 40 in 1947 after falling from scaffolding while painting a church and fracturing his skull
