@FootballCliches while listening to the popular 90s hit my 6 year old daughter asked what a 'Scatman' is. Thankfully my Clichés training kicked in: scat-man, not scatman - a man who sings scat, not like 'postman'. 'Not his job' I said like some sort of anti Roy Keane.
@FootballCliches just passed a gastro pub on the way to my parent's advertising the 'Football World Cup'. Are we having this? You only specify the sport if it's not football. They must be told. BTW it's very much the kind of place that would show Rugby!
@Downhill2ndHalf Can an amber shirt made by a recognised brand really be that hard? The only silver lining is that we share a manufacturer with New York Cosmos and therefore have a (tenuous) link to Pele
@HullKiwi Too true. This is the guy who sat down with us London fans in Perpignan, ahead of our rebrand back to a Broncos, and suggested we rename ourselves London Pride 🙄
@FootballCliches My VHS of this has a very hissy audio track. Does John Motson say 'that's fantabulous' after the second goal? If not I still think we should print the legend.
@prodnose One step at a time Danny. I'm still waiting for someone to explain why the team that did wrong are allowed time to construct a wall at all. That seems to be extremely contrary to the idea of allowing a game to flow!
@cp_124@beespod Otters or not, how could we let such areas of natural beauty as this bit of scrubland be built on with something useful for the community? What were we thinking.
'It was one of the most pathetic things I've seen in years.'
@BenKentish attended a Barnet Council meeting about a proposed new football stadium on greenbelt land.
His verdict? 'Stop self-important NIMBYs vetoing everything this country needs.'
