Scrapers know we're a volunteer project with no financial means to respond. So they say it's legal, believing themselves untouchable.

Idt you have a right to call them a failure when OP is self destructing in order to improve on art. More effort ≠ result in a toxic environment

Something that breaks my heart when it comes to the fight against AI in various circles is the complete lack of solidarity.

I see artists saying that AI is terrible for art, but fine for writing. Writers who think it's fine for art. Both think it's fine for programming.

I offer my sincere condolences and support for the effort you've put into the art community. Take care of yourself well because you're carrying the weight of the things that most artists don't do. For the small ones, all we can do is hide our art from the scrapers.

Artists just want a place online where platforms don't feed their work to AI. So I built Cara. But people just won't leave us alone.

The laws don't help us, the governments don't help us. What are artists supposed to do exactly? 1/

On that note, I'm glad I have people to rely on. Therapy options will be considered- I'm saving up for it, but I don't know when I have enough funds for that

I just realized why my mental health is horrible. Too human and vulnerable to be socially performing about how I "worked hard" and "got success", while hiding the amount of despair I have. If I suffer, I have to package it nicely and tell you guys the lesson I learned

Even like, now I think I get where u need texture and when to render (a.k.a when to blur, airbrush/when to intentionally add things on top) but that is so so subtle and these decisions are def not easy
