Over the last few years, the growth of India’s services exports has outstripped growth in goods exports, driven largely by India’s expanding software services export market. 👩🏽‍💻

India exported $150 billion worth of software or Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services in 2022-23, making it the biggest category, outdoing even petroleum products. In comparison India imported only $15 billion worth of software in the same year. Not only that, India now provides about 13% of global ICT service exports.

Apart from software which now accounts for more than half of India’s services exports, business services contribute nearly 25%.
