the one conspiracy i believe is that this place is full of bots programmed to say insane, incendiary things and they're funded by foreign organizations who want to divide americans and destabilize US society
It's funny how this essay about matchmakers feels like a sort of fable about technology and work—even AI and jobs
Step 1. Online dating makes something measurable—matching—more efficient.
Step 2. People predict that, obviously, this will put matchmakers out of a job.
Step 3. But increasing the measurable thing, matches, also increases the annoying thing, bad matches, and that makes people frustrated,
Step 4: Frustrated people with money pay matchmakers to improve the process.
Ta-da: Technology to increase digital matchmaking ironically increases the demand for human matchmakers (cc @alexolegimas)
Why do I keep seeing this AI slop of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy and JFK Jr in white outfits, as if Carolyn would ever show up to an event in a tacky white lace bolero like a Midwestern bride? Stop making her fit your poor taste just so you can relate to her style. #LoveStoryFX
You don't actually love JFK's style. You love the idea of dense, mixed use, walkable neighborhoods where you can bike, walk, or rollerblade to wherever you need to be. And making enough money to live in a city while having enough free time for hobbies and a lover.
Pat Riley wore a lot of Armani. You can try vintage, but Armani used a lot of delicate materials that did not stand up to the test of time. Vintage Armani items often have bright spots where the fabric has worn down or was improperly pressed. You can also try modern Armani, but I don't know what their custom tailoring program is like at the moment. IMO, I think you would have better results with the following:
— Sartoria Jun: A South Korean tailoring company that holds trunk shows in NYC and San Francisco every few months. Their Gio jacket is inspired by vintage Armani and features the same padded shoulder line, lower gorge, and dropped buttoning point as you see on Riley. I would ask them to make their Gio jacket in W Bill's Shetland tweed (reference number WB12446, available through one of Harrison's of Edinburgh's agents).
— Proper Cloth: An online custom shirtmaker that does a very good job with remote tailoring. They offer free online consultations to help you nail the fit. They also offer free remakes on the first order, which lets you hone in on the pattern. I would use one of their end-on-end fabrics. That has the slightly hatched visual effect you see on Riley. If you're in NYC, you can also stop by CEGO Custom Shirtmakers. If you're in Los Angeles, try Anto Shirtmakers. You can also check Ascot Chang, which visits many cities across the US.
— Shibumi: Riley here is wearing a burgundy dotted tie. You can get silk versions from Sam Hober. Since they're a bespoke maker, you can send them this photo of Pat Riley and they will figure out the interlining to get this specific tie knot (notice it's very smol). They will also do hand-rolled edges, as you can barely make out on the underside of Riley's back blade.
However, Shibumi's floral printed wool challis will do a better job of imitating this look. Wool challis refers to a very fine wool material with minimal nap. This gives patterns slightly crisper edges. Their three-fold ties will still form a small knot, but the softer, more matte material will better replicate the texture you see on Riley's neckwear. It's not a pin dot, but the texture here is more important than the pattern, as a soft wool tie will look very sophisticated with tweed and end-on-end shirts, esp in the cooler months.
— O'Connell's: This Buffalo-based store has high-rise, full-legged trousers in all sorts of materials. It's hard to make out the material in the photo of Riley, but I would guess it's gabardine, which is a smooth, slightly slippery twill. This will give a good contrast to the textured tweed.
— Garrett Leight: The company's Patrick model has that sleek, slightly P3 shape you're looking for. It comes in a few colors (bronze, silver, rose gold). I would get yellow gold if you want to imitate Riley's look.
I don't know what shoes Riley is wearing here, but I recommend a pair of black Alden loafers. Tassel loafers if you know what you're doing; penny loafers if you're a scared little baby. Just make sure it's the slightly sleeker flex or full strap penny model, as the leisure handsewn doesn't work with this outfit's Italian vibe.
The FBI retrieved this footage from Nancy Guthrie's Nest camera even though she didn't have a subscription. Which suggests Nest cameras are always recording and retaining content even when users aren't subscribed to that service.
Got to watch this game with my teammates here in Japan! It was at this moment when I told them “yeah, I got to play there!” Damn proud of it! ROCK CHALK BABY!
Many people are saying that Harris cannot win. The bigger problem is that, like in 2020, any Democrat might be able to win in 2028. Electing Harris means that nothing fundamentally changes and a subsequent win by Republicans becomes more likely. Don't waste a good chance at victory on an establishment Democrat who is little different from the Republicans.
Actually, Yes, Yes it is! @WilsonDittman
Respect your opinion, Everyone is entitled to it, I however read the sarcasm in your post...my suggestion..be respectful. You don't want to deal with this #mamabear. I'm not from Nebraska, I won't be so nice. Have a great day. 🌞
This decision was not taken lightly. I’ll be living in Lincoln commuting to Omaha. So any chance I’m allowed in the facilities I’ll be there. Kinda a redshirt year at a slower pace. 2) I don’t want to miss a single recruit that comes in. None of this is possible without my Coach @Jmack37 and his support, and him giving me the green light to go be great nothing but love. And of course my @CorsairsFB teammates my progress was faster because of you. Thank you Corsairs community.
