I used to write blogs on accessibility (hair flip) on Game Informer's old website. The website was completely retooled and the blog section was removed entirely. I forgot to back up my posts.

What I want most in CC design is a letterbox with the option to make it opaque. I have played too many games with text that disappears against sand, sky, water, etc... I appreciate your openness!

The CCs conveyed what the audio conveyed to the hearing gamers in gameplay and atmosphere. It proved to me that CCs can be done well in video games and it was done over a decade ago.

@ianhamilton_ @EdenojackRBLX @FireplantGames @DeafGamersTV @jetuser CCs for the deaf/hoh are meant to immediately convey information. I am personally opposed to graphics added to CCs because to me, instant readability is key, especially when the gameplay is ongoing while I'm reading the CCs.

My still favorite video game CCs are Portal/Portal 2. The CCs were a revelation to me that I got the same information as hearing gamers such as that a ball was bouncing in the next room.
