@WhatBevan If it wasn’t involving a bloke rumoured to have cheated on his missus/Leeds/a Leeds team on a run pushing for a play off place then a lot less would be said… and no I don’t want to see any gamesmanship by my team or any 👍🏻
@WhatBevan Myler made most of it no doubt but Hill had hold of the top of him whilst knelt down then lifts from kneeling and drops again - Hill put himself in a position to commit a foul there’s no way a 10 stone Myler can lift a 18 stone Hill with his head -🤷🏻♂️
@monkeycloud4@AlexG6 As was sezer- you can’t pull out of a tackle -arms by his side unfortunate head to body contact -and that’s the issue … micro analysing contact 👍🏻
@nyorkstrinity Everyone talking like it’s new! -only one tonight was a yellow don’t blame anyone but the RFL they’ve created this situation hope you all fill your RFL surveys in (not that it’ll make a shit of difference)
Thanks @sainsburys for cancelling out food shop out for delivery today, house self isolating - no food in with 3 kids - but you said sorry so that’s ok 🤬
Fascinating study coming out of Ireland.
They tracked six confirmed cases in a school setting and didn't find one further transmission within the school.
There were over 1000 contacts.
Families should feel confident sending their kids to school - I do for my grandchildren.
118 reported fatalities today vs 170, 269, 315, 420, 498, 686, 644 on previous Sundays - a strong decline.
New infections at 2409 which is the lowest since March.
The number of people in hospital with Coronavirus down.
Everything is going in the right direction.
I wish politicians would stop using the phrase 'led by the science'.
It passes responsibility to Government scientists. Ultimate authority lies with ministers.
I think the public would be understanding if sometimes a minister admitted they had got it wrong. A big ask I know!
We live in a time when everybody wants an instant answer.
Unfortunately with this virus there's just so much we don't know.
My PhD is in immunology and our immune system's response to this virus has left me scratching my head at times.
I'm confident we're getting there though.
I'm surprised we're not hearing more about new infections finally collapsing.
Testing is increasing, and positive results are really coming down.
It's great news! Something has changed in the last week or so, there has been a significant reduction after a long plateau.
Usual caveats for Monday, but 160 reported fatalities today is the lowest since the day after the lockdown began.
210, 288, 338, 559, 744, 568 on previous Mondays for comparison.
Finally seeing a good reduction in new cases too - around 2700 is the lowest since March.
Really encouraging to read hospitals in England are treating 9,000 Coronavirus patients a day, instead of 19,000 at the peak.
It's falling by around 2,000 a week according to NHS boss Sir Simon Stevens.
Hospitals are under significantly less pressure - this is very welcome.
4 weeks ago the number of reported fatalities was 1115.
Today it's 468.
The last 3 Saturdays were 345, 621, 843. A rise on last Saturday, but the averages continue to decline.
The risks are widely understood, we need to show people that their efforts are working.
We're more in control of this virus than many think.
It's sad to see people paralysed with fear and so negative about the future.
We'll adapt, we always do.
Keep your head up, things already feel a lot more normal - if we're all sensible, it will continue to improve.
Gov scientists estimate there has been a slight rise in the 'R' value.
No need to panic. The same thing happened in Germany and the small rise has now been reversed.
Small clusters of cases drag the value up.
Let's see what the next update is before we jump to any conclusions.
More evidence of a clear decline in fatalities.
384 reported today vs 626, 739, 1005, 935, 1152 on previous Fridays (big drop).
Comparing to previous weeks gives a clearer picture with the weekend lag.
Still no sign of the recovery numbers! In Italy it's now over 115,000.
