Claim (repeated by RFK Jr): The Amish don’t have autism because they don’t vaccinate, based on Dan Olmsted’s “study.”
Reality: Olmsted never conducted a study — no screening, no records, no diagnostics, no peer review. Just anecdotes.
When Amish communities were actually examined, autism rates were the same as other populations.
If no one looks, you can make up anything.
Claim fails. Data wins.
And that’s how it’s done. The Clintons didn’t refuse to testify at all, they refused a PRIVATE hearing and demanded a PUBLIC one, as coward Comer tried to entrap them into privately testifying so he can then tell his own lies about it.
Yesterday was my birthday and my sweet 16-year-old grandson shows up with this random bucket and this huge grin on his face. He goes "Grandma, I made you something but it's kinda weird."
I'm thinking oh no, what did this kid do now? But then he pulls out these amazing garden markers made from old Scrabble tiles! Turns out he'd been secretly working on them for weeks after I mentioned for the hundredth time that I keep forgetting what I planted where.
He remembered me complaining about those ugly plastic markers from the store and how they always blow away or fade. So he found an old Scrabble game at a yard sale, bought popsicle sticks, and spent his weekends hot gluing letters together to spell out all my herbs and vegetables.
OREGANO, ROSEMARY, THYME, BASIL, LAVENDER, CHIVES... he even made ones for plants I haven't grown yet but keep talking about wanting to try. The kid knows me better than I know myself.
The best part? He put them in this cute little galvanized bucket so I can carry them around the garden. Said it would be "more grandma-style" than a plastic bag.
I started tearing up right there on the porch because this boy actually listened to all my gardening rambling and turned it into the most thoughtful gift ever. His mom was taking pictures and laughing at me getting emotional over "wooden letters on sticks."
Already posted them in my little shop because people keep asking where I got them when they see my garden photos. Might have to get this kid to help me make more because apparently other grandmas have the same labeling problems I do.
Sixteen years old and he's already more crafty than half the adults I know. Pretty sure I'm keeping him.

Trump just posted a fake story claiming Obama was paid $2.5 million in “Obamacare royalties.”
The source? A satirical website whose disclaimer literally says:
“Everything on this website is fiction. If you believe it’s real, you should have your head examined.”
The man who runs the country can’t tell satire from reality.
Dear Trojan Nation,
If you haven’t already, please take a quick minute to fill out the Springfield Platteview Schools pre-bond survey: https://t.co/APKdbyzfOV

This week:
16 dead in Tennessee bomb plant explosion
At least 6 dead in Mississippi homecoming mass shooting
At least 4 dead in South Carolina bar mass shooting.
Not a word of consolation for any of them from Trump
If he can't blame an immigrant or liberal he doesn't care.
Stephen Miller says that never in our history have we tolerated unlawful, riotous assemblies around government buildings. Oh really? I’m old enough to remember when trump pardoned all these traitorous Nazi fucks.
