@RoKhanna 5% of $1T is $50B. Do you think he has that just sitting around in cash? His vast wealth is mostly tied up in non-liquid assets, which he'd have to liquidate in order to pay it. Then you'd do it again next year, and the next, ad infinitum, until it was all gone. And you know it.
@MikeLevin There are two major issues with this. First, "Scott Pelley says." You may take him at his word. I most certainly do not, for good reason, and nobody else is required to. Second, freedom of the press does not obligate any person or organization to employ someone.
@TerryMoran Nick Bilton showed considerable restraint by not firing Pelley on the spot at that staff meeting. The worst part about this is that Pelley got exactly what I'm sure he wanted: to be fired so he, you, and others could cry loudly about it. So good game on him, I suppose.
@brianstelter I can buy that Pelley absolutely believes everything he said in the quote you provided. The question, of course, is what exactly are the values at the top that have collapsed and the principles he holds dear? I strongly suspect they aren't what you want us to believe they are.
@JoyceCarolOates Ah, yes, Bluesky. The social media site everyone went to, not because they were being censored on the other one, but because the other one stopped censoring the people they disagreed with and wanted silenced.

It's going to be interesting to see which Elon detractors/haters twist themselves into Gordian knots of cognitive dissonance to say that, no, really, OpenAI going for-profit is a good thing, just because Musk opposed and sued over it.
@mehdirhasan Either you didn't know the actual answer to your question that so many have pointed out, or you did but pretended you didn't. The first implies ignorance, the second, dishonesty. The second reflects more poorly on you so I'm going with that one.
@BethanyAllenEbr Even if those organizations had access to this information (and there are plenty of reasons why they wouldn't), this is still a clear example of the tu quoque logical fallacy. https://t.co/5d7O4u8aTk
@SWFLConserv@greta@GriffJenkins@FoxNews Methinks this is yet another case of projection. He *assumed* that this was deliberate and there's a good reason why.
@SenAdamSchiff Well, to be fair, Iran itself has been making a pretty good case to the entire world for the last 47 years. Don't take this to mean I'm happy about this. That said, I'm also willing to consider that it really was about time to take care of it once and for all.
@VigilantFox I'm quite certain that Ana Navarro is engaging in cosmic levels of projection. She thinks Trump/Netanyahu are trying to distract from potential scandals because she knows that's exactly what her preferred politicians would do/have done in the same situation.
