today taka sang with such emotion that he broke into tears. after the performance, he shared a message. op has recorded his words, though they might be incomplete. this is a rough translation:

"Sometimes it’s just a single sentence. Even if five seconds ago you felt like you wanted to die or were being crushed by despair, five seconds later, a single word can create a future you never imagined. This is something I have deeply realized through my journey with this band.

Because of that, no matter what state we are in, no matter how difficult the environment or what happens, I feel that today I'm able to stand on this stage and finish every single song.

To be honest, living is not easy. It is incredibly difficult to keep going, and it’s definitely not something to be taken for granted. But I think the best thing about music is that it can once again absorb all that despair and hope into itself, grab the negative energy in your heart, and release it all.

Honestly, I’ve been charging forward desperately for the past 20 years. Seeing such a wonderful sight today makes me feel incredibly happy. But along with such beauty, there is often a different kind of despair waiting for me.

For example, after singing in front of so many people, when I return home and I'm all alone, I think: 'Who am I, really?'

When my voice won't come out or my leg is injured—even though everyone is waiting for me, yet I can't give my best performance on stage—I constantly blame myself: 'What exactly are you singing for?'

There are so many moments of self-reproach like that.

However, from the moment we decided to start a band, my bandmates, the staff, and I made up our minds: we will become a world-class, powerful rock band. It is with that conviction that I stand on this stage singing for you today.

Perhaps some of you have seen it in the movie—that very painful time where I was on the brink of despair but still had to force myself to finish those songs. But in a corner of my heart, I also held onto hope that those images might become a turning point to save someone else who is currently in the depths of despair.

Everyone who came here today surely has different thoughts, carrying your own despair or hope. I’m sorry for speaking in Japanese the whole time, but these words are welling up from the depths of my heart. This is my most sincere expression to you in Japanese, in the name of 'love', transcending language and culture.

We will definitely come back to Taiwan.
