This is my nephew Khaled. A beautiful little boy who was born during the war and has never known a single day of peace. He opened his eyes to the world inside a tent and has never had the chance to live in a safe home like other children around the world.
This morning, we woke up to a heartbreaking sight. Insects had bitten his tiny body all over. At first, I could barely recognize him because of how badly his face and body had swollen. Sadly, this is not an isolated incident. It is simply part of the harsh reality of living in tents.
Our lives have become a daily struggle. We live surrounded by insects and rodents, and under the scorching summer sun, our tent turns into an unbearable oven. There is no place to protect the children and no space where the elderly can find even a little comfort or safety.
I have two elderly parents and young children living with us in this tent. I may be able to endure more hardship, but they simply cannot bear this cruel reality any longer.
That is why I am begging you to help us. Please help us afford the rent for a small place where my family can finally find shelter. Even if it is just a single modest room, it would mean everything to us after more than three years of living in tents.
Please, help us.

I saw a little girl who looked to be around 8 in the bathroom washing her hands & I said “wow you’re so pretty!” & then when I got into the stall I heard her tell her mom & her mom said “see, I told you!”
