During some old lockdown times @MorganMakanaO@RianBraig + me investigated the changes in body size and flagellum shape through time (a structure used in mating) of an understudied arthropod group - short tailed whipped scorpions (Schizomida).

Check out this thread on a passion project I did with my good friends @BelojevicJelena and @RianBraig about your new favorite animal, the adorable short-tailed whip scorpion (Schizomida)

Also, there's crabs!
New synthesis paper out in the journal #Oecologia! We reviewed the literature on prey‑attraction strategies in spiders, highlighting the role of a trade-off between foraging & predator avoidance in the evolution of predator-prey interactions 👇

My first #PhD field season on #ruff and #dunlinproject is slowly coming to an end 🙀Two months in #BothnianBay have passed too fast, and it was as fun as it was intense! I have absolutely enjoyed the diversity of tasks, species, and people to work with 1/5
For #biodiversity#research, it is essential to assess how the diversity of #insects changes over time. LMU scientists have published a study on the biodiversity of larvae from the insect group #neuroptera over the past 100 million years.
