If you want to write professionally, and ever since I made a mortgage payment with my writing I’ve called myself a professional, you have to have a three tiered approach. 3 silod activities that all contribute to a working craft:
Get people to learn your name. They make think of you as a clown, but they will think of you.
Get people to know you know your stuff. This is a lot of work, done for free, and given to anyone who knows your name
Get people to buy your writing. Whether a book a blog a tweet a note or a video essay or a course or a consultation, this is where you deliver what you promise. Some will buy it because they like you and want to support you and the product is more of a pleasantry. Others will actually want what you provide, be it information or entertainment.
And never mix up your silos because people looking for clowns hate to be sold to and people looking for experts hate to be clowned and people buying things hate to be sold to, they want to be delivered to.
But perhaps you’re too good for all this work, perhaps you’ve above it, you have strong morals, or just want to write and not deal with the bullshit. The plus side is you’ll never have anyone call you a bad writer, which is the worst thing that can happen. They won’t call you anything, really. But at least you’ll know you’re secret genius is out there, waiting for some publishing house from 1977 to pick you up and make you a Netflix Special and let you retire as a genius writer. Just keep putting in the reps bro

People demanding "proof" of election fraud are not understanding how crime works. I worked at Manhattan DA for over 2 years, one in Homicide. We never had video proof of the crime. We almost never had DNA. These are things that occur on CSI on TV, not in real life. And we still convicted people all the time.

What we had was testimony and circumstantial evidence. Travel times, bank records, cell phone data, gate access codes. Motive, capability, benefit, time and place. Never direct proof. Of course the defendant always denied the crime, but there was enough evidence to show that one had to have occurred nonetheless.

If what we have in the LA Mayoral election is a statistical anomaly that is beyond reasonable explanation with anything besides fraud, that is enough to prove a crime. This has been true since the beginning of Western Civlization.
