maybe it was just me reading too much into it but did anyone else think jax's voice sounded slightly different when ribbit was around? like it's very subtle but he sounds slightly more mellow and "realistic" in a sense, bc he wasnt putting on a mask all the time
you can tell ribbit’s abstraction was what genuinely made jax become a whole different person, just by the way ragatha and kaufmo look at him after treating gangle that way, compared to later episodes where everyone’s just so used to it
genuine and authentic around ribbit and kaufmo, also during the stargazing scene when they made jax laugh and he said "you caught me off guard" he sounds so different to what we're used to but again it's so subtle.. michael did so good throughout that whole thing (skye too!!)

i find it crazy the circus members saw jax avoiding ribbit and how it clearly affected ribbit and they didn't so shit abt it sorry 😭😭 what is this characterisation
"jax lost his friends because of his own actions" does not translate to "jax is the victim and his friends only served to make us pity him." it's not fucking rocket science
it shows the consequences of his own behavior catching up to him, the guilt eats him alive and that ends up in his own abstraction too. at no point does the movie imply that youre supposed to root for him just bc hes a main character
