Wow. Just. A complete a total overhaul is coming in December and it goes even further in March.

Initially, I was against this type of change for Marathon. Particularly at launch I was very adamant about keeping this solely as the experience that it was originally intended to be, but what I want more is to see this game with such a striking, unique, nothing else like it art direction with a world that constantly kicks my teeth in to survive and thrive.

Marathon is a world I want to be in, I was ready and itching for something new after playing Destiny for so long, and what is coming in December and March is exactly what is necessary to keep that dream alive.

To say I’m excited is an understatement, I am beyond thrilled at what is being shown here. The Behind The Scenes Vidoc (part 1) was a genuinely somber experience, I am shocked at how it didn’t pull its punches, how transparent the team was about how Marathon has been received and how narrowly focused they became because of how in proximity they were.

I’m going to be with this game for as long as I am physically able to log into the servers, I’m excited to see the Pfhor in this world and I want to be here covering and streaming Marathon until I can’t.

Destiny folks, this really isn’t complicated.

There were two groups of people supporting the “We Want D3” movement.

Group A: Continued playing Destiny 2 with their friends. Made sure Bungie and Sony knew they wanted a future for Destiny. Posted a few We Want Destiny 3 emotes around the internet.

Group B: Threatened and bullied Devs, as well as streamers who weren’t on Destiny 2. Harassed the hell out of all the people playing or supporting Marathon. Made the Destiny community look like a bunch of entitled immature children.

You all fall under the same category. Group A and B are both “We Want Destiny 3” people. But Group A did so in a commendable, responsible, and mature way, while Group B caused tons of damage and now boasts around like they saved Destiny.

Group A folks gotta stop taking offense when people are upset with Group B folks ❤️

Oh hell no. Ppl should 100% hold it against him and many others. He was emotional? Hes a grown ass man spewing hate and throwing tantrums towards another community cuz his income game as a content creator stopped getting support.

Him and Divide have been the worst during all of this. Now after all that dmg is done just a "sorry lets all have fun"? Everything couldve been handled better.

Cross was "loving" Marathon up until rumors started going around no more D2 content then went full hate towards it after the EoS announcement. This is why I call all those guys frauds. Cross content since D2 EoS has been all grift and reaction.

I do personally hold it against him. Watched him for years for info and entertainment, then when D2 went EoS integrity and professionalism towards Marathon went out the window until he "got his way".

Going from glazing Marathon prior to release and playing a lot during Season 1 to then wanting Marathon "6 feet under" to revive D2 is weird. Streaming it once during Season 2 to "leak" future info and have people "vague-post" for engagement was even weirder.

A lot of us played Destiny for years, I have since D1 and I understand being emotional, but that's not an excuse to weaponize your influence and audience. Apology feels like a punch in the face for those of us who continued putting hours into Marathon. Main reason I even tried Marathon is because D2 PvP hasn't been great for years and I don't even like the extraction shooter genre.

I want to see both Destiny and Marathon succeed because both are genuinely good games: The worlds, the lore, the gunplay, the characters and more. Seeing that Destiny isn't gone and Marathon is adapting is the best thing that could happen for all of us.

Personally, I don't forgive Destiny folks who were shit-talking Marathon all the time and harassed its players. Their bully behaviour will most likely show again when things won't go their way.

As a mostly Destiny player, you should hold it against him. Aztecross’s behavior enabled insane levels of hate and harassment toward people who played Marathon and now that he got what he wants, he’s just washing his hands of it like it isn’t a horrible stain on his character.
