@Martina@ProjectLincoln@23davidjustice DEI doesnโt mean unqualified. This man is unqualified. Call it nepotism, call it the old boys club, but donโt call it DEI bc thatโs not what it is.
@ProjectLincoln NO. It is NOT. This is the problem - equating DEI hires with unqualified hires. DEI policies FORCE institutions to consider *qualified* candidates who do not look like the rest of the company, who do not belong to the same country clubs and matriculate from the same schools.
@ReallyAmerican1 How about โin a stunning display of tyranny and complete disregard for the constitution, not to mention general civility, the president tried to threaten a state governor because she wouldnโt discriminate against a marginalized group of people in her state.โ ๐ง
@andrewquinny Lack of preparedness for the situation is also heartbreaking. Students and staff need to have access to resources for exactly this reason. If anyone is wondering why DEI programs on campus are important, here is a perfect example.
@nhannahjones Because we can say - โwe will right this wrong perpetrated on the Jewish people by the Germans.โ If we do this for Black Americans we will have to say โwe will right this wrong perpetrated on Africans and their descendants born in this country by US.โ Canโt have that lol.
@kaitlancollins I would be interested in hearing how he would respond if you asked him, straight up: โstrong words sir. What explanation would you give the American people as to why you kept this to yourself as a member of his cabinet? Seems like a damning portrait.โ
