With all that being said about Kensuke Ushio, I love Summer’s End so much, I preordered it last month on vinyl, and I don’t even own a record player. I guess I’ll have to change that by December 😅

His works I enjoy just as much as the animation/story, and in cases such as Cocoon: One Summer of Girlhood, I enjoy even more than the animation/story.

I should pay better attention to who the composer of anime film/shows soundtracks are. Even if I enjoy them, they usually take a backseat to the actual animation/stories. I’m absolutely in love with Kensuke Ushio works. I don’t think I’ve ever had a favorite until now.

Look into the composer’s other works. After the film there was a lengthy interview with Kensuke Ushio. To my amazement, he was also the composer for the soundtracks for Reze Arc and A Silent Voice. So my musical ear did not fail me lol

“In the Pool” from Chainsaw Man The Movie: Reze Arc original soundtrack -summer’s end- imo is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever composed. I can’t help but get emotional when I hear it.

The reason I went and saw Your Name; I no longer have YouTube Premium and they kept showing the trailer. I finally payed attention to it due to the music catching my attention. I looked up the synapse and it intrigued me. Ended up being a great decision.

Went to the cinema today to see A Silent Voice for the first time ever. I was able to fight back tears at least until the ride home when I saw Your Name last month. I was unable to do the same today.
