🟡I stand in solidarity with all my colleagues who were fraudulently and illegally recalled. We call on all citizens in affected wards and constituencies to support these candidates and vote overwhelmingly for leaders who will be the citizens’ voice in Parliament.
While the political environment remains toxic, dictatorial and plagued by illegitimacy, we must continue to act for change. Every struggle worth fighting for will be grueling but we must remain equal to the task until we win Zimbabwe for change and ensure our great nation works For Everyone.
As citizens, we must help and support the respective campaigns in any way that we can - donate, lead spaces, retweet, do door to door, volunteer to be a polling agent, resign fliers, retweet messages and turn out in your numbers on voting day so that we ensure no seat is lost to dictatorship.
Our daily suffering is all the evidence we need that ZANU PF is anti-people and is bereft of ideas to fix the economy, deliver decent public health, champion quality and affordable education and ensure every citizen has shelter and food to eat.
Let’s vote for change candidates as we continue in the battle for the soul of our nation.
We need new leaders.🇿🇼
@advocatemahere Congrats @advocatemahere I celebrate how your legal mind has been positively applied to the prevailing leadership crisis of our country. That selfless spirit of risking discomfort and leading in rocky waters when not doing so would be easier and peaceful should be celebrated.
@daddyhope This rent seeking behaviour by the gvt is preposterous. Why would a gvt continuously tax some asset that I have already paid for and taxed? Does a house get a yearly lease of life which the gvt wants to also benefit from? At this rate every marriage will be taxed yearly too.
@advocatemahere Well said. Boils down to an inclusive rather than extractive gvt. The focus on creating an enabling environment for business to thrive is inevitably linked to detoxification of our politics. Inclusivity promotes economic development but absolutism shrinks the same.
@nelsonchamisa Indeed a Shared vision will see Zimbabweans exorcise that ugly demon of lawfare, violence, abductions, persecution and killing and replace it with unity in diversity. Zimbabwe needs to heal and wind its clock to shared development, tolerance, security and dignity of humanity.
@advocatemahere Indeed this lawfare has sunk to a low that reveals hunger for power and utter insensitivity to both the electrorate and the world watching this unfolding thuggery and mutilation of democracy. The lack of legitimacy always breeds further brazen abuse of the illegitimate power.
#LetFreedomSing A T-shirt, crates of beer , a little bit of money , bicycle, sewing machine, borehole and etcetera are important, but not sufficient to entrust your life to a thief , oppressor , liar or murderer. You deserve better and you're worth much mire than this !!!
Kenyan law professor Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba, a fierce Pan-Africanist who speaks truth to power, says Zimbabwe has been reduced from a country with a great manufacturing industry (producing good shirts for instance) and a commercial agricultural sector that was the envy of many to a nation always battling currency volatility amid a decades-long economic crisis.
@nickmangwana If I was a leader, I would be ashamed of celebrating personal success but I would rather concentrate on building infrastructure and the enabling environment for the least of the citizenry to have dignity & prosper. A leader still defined by personal progress is a failed leader.
@daddyhope This is indeed the sad reality of our youths made sacrificial lambs by a heartless regime. What is needed now is to sacrifice for change than surrender lives to drugs and let those whose years of relevance passed, usurp & destroy the future of a nation so beautifully endowed?
@daddyhope@ProfPLOLumumba Endless torment and abuse reduce citizens to beggars who sing for a supper even from their Oppressor. The crowd is either rented or are expectant of payment in return. The regime is sustained by the hunger and desperation of the citizen hence their reluctance to solve the same.
@EfieZethu Her eloquence is palpable and symbolic. She is steadfast in her support for Change despite suffering for it before. As an old woman, she says, the fellow old President does not take care of those old like him and hence he does not deserve her support. Well expressed!
@advocatemahere Wazadzaa. I just love the genesis of this slogan. It came from a comment by an ordinary man. This is symbolic of the citizen centred initiative of CCC. Wazadzaa!
I am watching fireworks on the Lake from outside my apartment, and thinking of how this heroes weekend would have been if our country had a competent and non-corrupt Government.
Zimbabweans would have been celebrating the fruits of the sacrifices of our liberation fighters!
🟡Vakamboti heee mapera, hamuna plan. Now moto urikubvira and they want to direct which log goes where. Hanzi furidzai makadai moto wenyu unyatsobvira.😂
What a clever man!
Please RETWEET him!
At such a young age, he understands that the whole country can’t be made up of hustlers (madealer).
It broke my heart when I heard a young doctor saying she will do anything for money because things are tight!
