@SavvasLearning From the earliest topics in level 1, I ask students to see evidence in the community - food, clothes, art, etc. If appropriate for the age group, they can visit the locations to interact with community members.

@SavvasLearning I like that Peggy used the word "reflect" - that is key to me - have students observe what they see in culture and then make reflections - I have used a reflection log in my Spanish classes - kind of like a journal related to their cultural thoughts
