Abandoned puppy plays with an Ohio trooper after being rescued from the side of the I-71.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper was doing a routine check at a rest area when he found the abandoned puppy inside a crate.

The trooper played with the dog before putting him in the cruiser.

"Thanks to his quick action and compassion, the puppy was safely brought to the Medina Post and later transported to the Medina County SPCA," OSHP said.
