I suddenly feel that I want a Belgian beer. Can't think why. But I can't leave the new pooch alone while he's still in getting-used-to-his-new-life phase. Can I make myself believe that a cup of tea is really une Trappe Blond? β½οΈ π§πͺ πΊ
@JamesMartinSJ@justalexoki Much less risk of falling foul of the Beatitudes than if you joined Hillsong or US Southern Baptists. And the current and immediate past earthly head honchos are/were Godly models. But there are alternatives. Like staying where you are. 3/3
@JamesMartinSJ@justalexoki It might have escaped James' notice, but most mainstream churches believe, as our historic Creeds put it, in the Communion of Saints. So @justalexoki, God bless you if you join the Roman branch (they hate this) of Christ's church. 2/3
My daughter Annika is proudly autistic and 12 years old.
She drew this butterfly from a photo she took herself β every vein, every scale, rendered by hand on a tablet.
She signs everything she makes. Dates it. Like she already knows it matters.
She's turning 13 tomorrow. Please share this for her birthday. Let's make her day.
@2D0XPS Not in Australia. Even the most exalted consultants (we use the term Specialists for people with a Fellowship who hold a rΓ΄le which would be Consultant in UK) bear a name tag "Fred" (if their first name is Fred) and introduce themselves thus.
Australia Day's date marks an invasion which caused such grievous and continuing harm to our First Nations, and should be changed. But I still put on record my gratitude to Australia for all that it has given to me, a later invader π¦πΊ
@mbird12@LauraRbnsn Yeah, Iβve just had a COVID booster too, and except for not being able to not play the cello, no prob. Now to explore (like I am a seriously old geezer) a RSV jab. Which is recommended but not paid for seriously old geezers.
