“an idiot in motion beats a genius standing still” is probably the best quote for bootstrappers etc. I think I have ever heard.

Gonna frame that one. As I awaken my “retirement”, don’t lose sight of that.

Fantastic @JordanGal with @mijustin @CasJam https://t.co/6NyK2GHRry

@KatieKeithBarn2 @zackkatz This will be a good one. His podcasts/mini-coaching sessions are awesome & get to the point quickly. Brutally honest.

Will try & catch live if I can as I slowly waken from retirement.

[Richard Gorbutt @RichardGorbutt]

@Radiojottings Ah. Thanks.

[Richard Gorbutt @RichardGorbutt]

@davidfurness Yes it was. Very happy memories.

Ok, so in my “esteemed” career, I have edited professionally for a few years, so here is my 2c. Tried to be critical while walking the dogs and driving to/from golf course. (aka atypical listening 😂)

It did a great job. Obv I can’t compare to the source audio but end result was good. I thought I heard a too tight edit mid way but couldn’t find again. 😇.

For taking head/intvw etc, game changing. Drama, high creativity - in time.

Moving from retirement into focusing on my side business which now become more closer to full-time.

Couldn’t be more excited.

They’ve been sounding a small drum for some time that they may change to a subscription model but nothing seen yet. They make most money from hardware. There is also a lot of drama in the Australian courts with the founders.

Talking head editing is the easiest to automate. If you watch sports highlights, chances are it was edited using AI. Been that way for some time.

[Richard Gorbutt @RichardGorbutt]

@williamsba This comes up way too often, and folks build alternatives. However, they need to break that moat with accountants.

[Richard Gorbutt @RichardGorbutt]

@lkr Ive been getting these for a while and now just ignore them. I assume it’s just some crap to try and get me to do more etc. Aka engage more & spend more. 🤮

[Richard Gorbutt @RichardGorbutt]

@MikeHoffmann Nope but we picked up a case at Costco as my daughter says she pays $3 a can but this was $16.59 for 18.

[Richard Gorbutt @RichardGorbutt]

@daverodenbaugh Welcome back & good luck.

We lost our natural gas service this morning. Called @TrueNaturalGas who then engaged @atlantagaslight and they were round an hour later.

Found a problem on the meter/regulator thing & resolved it by lunchtime.

No AI, all humans and the engineer was awesome.

Let’s not lose this.

Revisiting Benidorm Series 4. Hard to believe that it was 15 years ago! Well written, experienced cast, and strong characters @DerrenLitten. Good production values.

Don't make them like that anymore.

[Richard Gorbutt @RichardGorbutt]

@westguard That’s crazy stuff.

[Richard Gorbutt @RichardGorbutt]

It's nice now the mornings seem to be getting cooler.

[The EV Boomer @TheEVBoomer]

Kinda liking retirement. Such a beautiful morning here. Just starting to feel the humidity creep up but right now, coffee time & nature.

My first (& so far only) WordCamp was in Portland in '24. So I witnessed the meltdown, but overall I was disappointed. I didn't find it as welcoming, maybe because I was older than a lot of folks. I did have some good chats but left a bit deflated.

It's a shame the ATL camp has gone, as I live here, but that was a timing thing on my part- wedding anniversary weekend. 😀

@KatieKeithBarn2 @jamesckemp @DotheWoo I spent many years dealing with satellite transmission bookings so timezone conversion comes so naturally to me now. Not a trick I use at parties. 😂

1600 BST = 11am EDT. 😎

@KatieKeithBarn2 @jeffr0 Political season is getting into full speed here. I use the iPhone call screening. It gets about 5-10 calls a day now and they never get through.

Texts on the other hand ….🤬
