Father, with all due respect, this is why evangelization is so important for the salvation of souls. It doesn’t matter how good of a Muslim, Jew, Baptist, or anything else he may be. If anyone rejects the truth of Christ and his Church—even one definitive teaching—they will be lost. This is solid, Church teaching!
If anyone makes it to heaven apart from what the Church refers to as “the ordinary means of sanctification that comes through the sacraments,” or a “formal union with the Church,” they will only do so through a salvific link with the Church that comes via extraordinary means.
God is ever merciful and just and He wishes all to be saved and so we commend Dr. Mashally’s soul to His mercy!
I generally rate Ben Wallace but saying the Ukrainians should be grateful for our supplies when they are giving their lives to protect democracy feels totally wrong. We should be grateful for their bravery https://t.co/DW8koqsoRt
@BBCTomFeilden I don't know where you are but I've just returned from Rutland where I sat in a garden absolutely full of birds and wildlife, a particularly good year, I was told!
Many thanks to #NEAS for very speedy, thorough and kind rescue of 76yo haemaplegic yesterday. V. grateful and admiring. The picture we have from the press about delays etc are only part of the truth!
Music isn’t a 2nd class subject, music teachers aren’t 2nd class teachers, and music isn’t just a nice little extra. Music is core, music is fundamental to a holistic and meaningful education, and music teachers make such a positive and lifelong impact on the lives of so many.
Vaughan Williams holds an unrivalled position in British music history. For @TheBachChoir, it’s personal – he was once their Musical Director. Don't miss their #RVW150 celebration concert with @philharmonia & @davidhconductor featuring 'A Sea Symphony’ https://t.co/oCNFiXXhgw
@adshill Oh dear, that’s the last thing you need. But if it is true, there could be advantages in their having it together rather than one after the other …. I know, I’m a proper Job’s Comforter!
@BBCRadio3 Judith Weir's Arrival of Rain evokes great memories for me of a schools production of Benjamin Britten's Noye's Fludde in Carlisle Cathedral c.1960, esp the arrival of the flood.
Very moving interview with Christian Tezlaff and @KateMolleson on @bbcradio3 at lunchtime including poignant tribute to our great NE hero @lars_vogt@Sage_Gateshead.
Expanding horizons again, this evening an exquisite blending of the Lindisfarne gospels with Spiritual Sounds and images @Sage_Gateshead Taverner, Hildegard of Bingen, Purcell and Pärt @RNSinfonia a real treat!
I’m feeling particularly sad today having heard that Lars Vogt, one of this generation’s most brilliant musicians, has died. A timely reminder to all that we should grasp hold of life, contribute to it and enjoy it every single day. Much love to Lars’ family and many friends.
@padsbigsis@adshill@ievauzule You have both shown such love and care for so many people in your first 16 years together, and not least your three lovely children. Every blessing as you continue the adventurous journey together! xx
