I was in Parliament today as the Tories scapegoated refugees to try to shift the blame for their own failures.
So let's be clear:
Refugees didn't create the NHS crisis
Refugees didn't create the housing crisis
Refugees didn't slash your wages
This rotten Tory Government did.
@andymediauk@darrengrimes That would explain why there is a recruitment crisis across the public sector. Clearly paying less, worsening conditions and generally being rude about public servants will fix that.
Presumably you are desperately trying to get a public sector job ?
@darrengrimes Totally irrelevant. The government isn't proposing to reverse North Sea privatisation and keep UK gas and oil just for the people.
This isn't about poor people keeping warm. It's about profits for big business and revenue for the government.
Get on with clean free renewables.
@jackmrankin@rock_the_rec Another illustration of the Conservatives as observers of our community rather than participants. We'll done to those running the event @amy_tisi Lee Hibbard @AlisontBfI @HelenPrice89@Tisi21
Living standards are forecast to be 3Β½ per cent lower in 2024-25 than pre-pandemic.
This would be the largest reduction in living standards since records began in the 1950s, but only half the fall we expected in March.
#AutumnStatement
@Conservatives Put taxes throught the roof, claim credit for cutting them.
Sack 20000 Police, claim credit for then employing 20000 new ones.
Lose 30000 Nurses, claim credit for bringing back 20000.
Bit of a pattern
It was a pleasure to meet the youth council last night. Their parents can be very proud of them. I'd urge more young people ti find out who their youth councillors are and to out themselves forward.
Last night RBWM Youth Councillors invited RBWM Councillors to a meet and greet ahead of their regular meeting to get to know each other better and form connections as we aim to work closer together.
Overall, it was a great meeting!
