Came across this banger on concupiscence by Bede the venerable while prepping for my podcast on Q211 of the ACNA Catechism. He’s commenting on Ecclesiastes 7:29: “See, this alone I found, that God made man upright, but they have sought out many schemes.”

Our struggle against the vices has not been naturally implanted in us by God our Father and Creator but is proved to have befallen us from our love of this world, which we preferred to our Creator…
Sarcasm needs its own case in English. The majority of the time I don’t want to have to sort through your tweets to know if you’re making a serious point or not.
@Ferndiggity The deception was changing the meaning of words.

I'm a husband and father, Anglican priest, violin and guitar player, and a whole bunch of other stuff!
Have they never looked up an OT passage to understand the context in the NT?
This is moronic.
@Ferndiggity Crappy ads anyway
@ScottJ175 @HansFiene That was exactly my thought. I grew up in So. Cal. and now live in Chicago burbs. I miss it terribly.
@profyancey The last 25 years of presidential elections has been choosing between two bad options. The least worse option is a long way from defending a candidate. Kamala was an insufferable twit who rode coat tails and a rich husband to victory. It’s a low bar to beat her.
@Logos God is God and we aren’t. He’s playing infinite dimensional chess and we can’t figure out cosmic checkers.
USA denominations are nearly all declining but several small ones like ACNA are growing. They often appeal to theo-nerds who take sacrament, liturgy, tradition & theology seriously.
Acceptable culture warring
