Let's aim for a more inclusive approach—one that embraces the human element of digital change.
Let's make sure that as we move forward, everyone gets a change to be part of the move and nobody gets left behind because they can't access or understand the tech.
Lately, I've been thinking a lot about how everyone's buzzing about going digital to tackle any challenge.
Whether it's in government, aged care, business, or just our daily lives, the answer seems to be that we will “Tech our way through it.”
Tech providers, organisations, government - Ask yourself Is there enough time, patience and support being designed in for the average person or business user?
Digital inclusion goes beyond having digital access to a bank or government account.
Our goal should be true inclusion for all, where everyone who wishes, can use digital services independently. Everyone should be able to fully participate in the digital world.
Over the past few months, I've had the rewarding experience of seeing hundreds of seniors during our digital skills sessions.
I’ve been struck by how many of them still rely on their loved ones for digital activities such as banking and government-related activities.
This inadvertently leads to dependence, where seniors have to wait for someone to be available, rather than enjoying the independence they deserve.
Don't be fooled by your metrics.
A Melbourne couple had $370,000 stolen from bank accounts in a "horrific" case of identity theft. It has prompted calls for banks to sharpen up against scammers and fraudsters. https://t.co/Is6LcrmFC6
