@henrywinter I don't really think being based in Salford compared to New York makes any difference what so ever. I think ITV have so far just had the better pundits and made the prematch discussion more of a watch. At least with the BBC in Salford you can't hear cars beeping in the background
@RealTolmie For me abit of both, sadness that Pep is leaving and the club will more than likely never have a period of success like this past 10 years. Also celebration that Pep stayed for as long as he did and gave all City fans so many incredible memories.
@RorySmith Its worth pointing out that there were 152,000 across the two games, so Wembley wasn't half empty. Also if semi's were played at small grounds how long would it be before some fans complain about ticket availability and price, as no doubt the FA will want to maintain revenue
@RealTolmie Sad to see him go, and in a way after all the speculation over these past few seasons of him leaving, its a bit ironic in a way, that he's going after for me his best season for 3 or 4 years.
@henrywinter@Bigalanh5 Henry, clear and obvious is indefinable. There is too much subjectivity in football for VAR to work successfully. Also as others have said, it is rather insulting to fans to totally dismiss this survey. For me things were better, though certainly not perfect, before VAR.
@ewansmfc@altrinchamfc@SolihullMoors Yes, a very capable defender, who for some reason hasn't been able to get a game, since our manager was appointed a few months ago.
@henrywinter But clear and obvious is surely indefinable. Who makes a decision as to whether there has been a clear and obvious error and VAR needs to look at as to whether a goal is allowed or not?
@henrywinter But you can't have VAR without killing the thrill, there's too much subjectivity in football, for VAR to operate successfully. Even the so called semi automated offside process, can literally take minutes at times, to give a decision.
@cylertarter @TheDeckNL I would dispute the ref was giving Alty soft fouls. I thought he had a decent game and was probably the best ref I've seen at Moss Lane this season. He actually remembered it's a contact sport and generally didn't fall for the dives, both sets of players were doing.
@joemcindoe92@henrywinter How do you know though that fans wanted VAR as an alternative? Its been forced on the game at the top level, but just doesn't work as there's too much subjectivity in football. Why not ask fans in the PL at the end of this season, whether they want to keep it for next season?
@Inter_Alty1977 I remember that Mossley game, they were some team and destroyed us that day. Would have been interesting to see how they would have done in the APL. Presumably their facilities denied them entry back then.
@bostonutdstats DAZN originally announced the Scunthorpe v Alty game as being a 12.30pm kick off, before changing it later to 5.30pm. Not great if you'd made travel plans based on the original ko time.
