If Thames Water goes bust - which is looking more and more likely - there should be *no* taxpayer compensation for shareholders. It must be nationalised and taken into public control.

We've recently got some solar panels installed. Even with the dodgy July weather we only imported 17p of electricity from the grid this month. But we're still paying 64p a day standing charge. Feels wrong now I've turned into an energy nerd.
