@freedolinski@APStylebook Both are correct, as opposed to the incorrect use of [‘] often caused by dumb smart-quote algorithms. Bane of my editing life.
When using an apostrophe to indicate a decade, it goes in front to replace the missing digits: the class of ’26, which means the same as the class of 2026.
There's no apostrophe before the s in a construction like the '20s.
@SimonHappily@g__j@OctopusEnergy Another vote for Agile. Think of it this way: With a fixed-rate tariff—even if it has cheaper rates at night—you're paying a premium for price certainty. Think of it like an insurance policy (and surprisingly expensive one). Agile skips that, tied directly to wholesale prices.
@PaulGra01523194@g__j … but storage heaters are 1960s technology. These days when people talk about electrifying heating, we're talking about heat pumps. They use a little bit of electricity to suck latent heat from the outside air and concentrate it. Efficiency of 400% is a typical design centre.
@PaulGra01523194@g__j No. Someone might have conned you into buying these ridiculous "clay core" resistive things, which are *not* storage heaters. Storage heaters run off cheap off-peak electricity. If system properly designed, the cost is comparable to gas.
But …
@PaulGra01523194@g__j The 2025/26 heating season cost me *less* electricity than previous seasons did for heating oil. Gas would have been similar.
Your experience sounds like a "you" problem, not an electrification problem.

Meta abandons open-source Llama for proprietary Muse Spark: https://t.co/6yDvG3TpQt via @thenewstack & @sjvn
If you're still using the #opensource#AI Llama, Meta's left you without a migration path.
Hi @@JWorldTheGame I see you've ripped off badgers.
1: Can you not
2: Who do I send the invoice too?

This is so blatant. You'd think a company your size would understand copyright.
@anon_opin I love food, but I almost never see anyone using a knife and fork properly. If your kids can't use a knife and fork properly by their 12th birthday you've failed them.
